Windows 7 installation problems – Missing or Corrupt Files
The problems encountered during the Windows 7 installation vary based on the different installation approaches and associated hardware specifications. Also, if you have not downloaded the Windows 7 installation files from the Microsoft website, then you may face quite a few issues even before you’re half way through the Windows 7 setup! One of the most common problems faced during Windows 7 setup is that of missing or corrupt files, with the installer throwing up an error code: 0×80070570
This problem during Windows 7 installation has been attributed to a bad DVD created from the .ISO file used for the installation of Windows 7. A corrupt .ISO image or an incomplete download too could be the root cause of the issue.
To address this Windows 7 installation problem, you could try and download the .ISO file from a valid source and burn the DVD again using software such as ImgBurn, gBurner or MagicISO at low speeds of about 4x.
For those of you who have already tried multiple rounds of DVD creation and installation in vain, here’s a shortcut. You could mount the Windows 7 .ISO file on a Virtual Clone Drive (VCD) and get on with the installation by using the setup.exe from there. Download and install the VCD for free so that you no longer need to burn the .ISO contents on to a DVD prior to installing Windows 7.
Better still, you could also completely do away with the DVD and directly launch the setup.exe for Windows 7 by opening the .ISO file using the Winrar utility. The same installation method can be followed for both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 7.
If you encounter any errors in the autorun.dll and SPWIZENG.DLL, simply re-download the Windows 7 installation .ISO file, this time from the Microsoft website, and try installing the OS before trying other options.

to install windows 7 beta with a DVD setup.exe file In a empty VPC, just boot the VM from the Win7 DVD. Otherwise you need to install from ISO version of the install disk
i’ve upgraded my xp home to windows 7 via a download directly from the microsoft website. My laptop is a sony vaio and i have gone through the microsft win7 diag tool and passed the same hence the inatallation. Apparently something went awry somewhere because another drive was created apart my main drive C. I cant access my drive C even as administrator. What happened here? Can you please advise me what went wrong. Hoping to hear from you soon since I cant use my laptop anymore.

Silcon image Sil3512 SATA Raid Controller 1.0.14.0 in a file format so that i can load it into the installation process. I tryed my old device drivers i had but windows 7 isn’t finding them. Is the format different with widnows 7, with xp all i did was hit f6 and it loaded them.
